New Moon Momentum

Have you ever...

...desired to live a life that's different than the one you're living?

...tried to change your habits, but find that you get sucked right back in?

...realized that perhaps a different perspective was required?

...decided that this time, it was going to go your way, but it was like the cycle started again?

...does this pattern sound familiar?

Let's look at how this pattern ties into the moon cycle, and what we can do to change how we play in these cycles.

We're heading into the New Moon, a time for setting intentions and starting new projects.  This is when we get all of our good ideas, when we jump to put them into action, but find our energy fizzling out before we get a solid plan in place.

When we work with the energies of the moon cycle, this is the time for new ideas, but it is the planning phase, not the implementation phase.

Step One:

Look deeply into the projects that are lighting you up right now. Make a list of what you want to start.

Once you're clear and have a solid list, put a 🙂 or ðŸ’œ beside the ones that really light you up and bring joy.

Step Two:

Let's look briefly at the ones that you didn't put a mark beside. Are these things that are really serving you? Are they truly necessary to live the life you really want to live?

If so, is it possible to get some help from your family, friends or community to bring joy to them. Look for ways to make them fun and quick, so you can get onto the things that you really want to be focusing on.

Step Three:

Now, let's look at the ones with the smiley face and hearts! Decide which are short term dreams and goals, and which are long term ones. Separate them.

Now, take a look at whichever list excites you most. Develop a plan for what you want to create. Write out lists and create a vision board.

Step Four:

Repeat step three for the other lists 🙃

Step Five:

Now, the clue in this journalling process to start living your dream life, is based on recognizing your passions. Notice the patterns. Notice what overlaps and what is its own unique design. Are some actually different phases of the same project? Look at all of this and create a grand vision for this project.

How can you embody more of the things that light you up in life?

The New Moon is the envisioning time of the month. Utilize it's energies to create your dream.  And as the Waxing Moon comes in, utilize it's strengths to put your dreams and goals into action.
