September's Full Moon Reflections

Have you ever...

...tried to be something you're not so you could maintain harmony - something that happened so gradually you didn't realize you were off course? Something that you didn't even realize wasn't you, until you were hurting so badly it takes a major life correction to come back to you?

...tried your best to steer a situation in a direction that would work, but ultimately didn't light you up?

...tried to be okay for everyone around you, but ended up miserably backing yourself into a corner, and in the process, turning off your own flow?

...realized that drastic changes were needed, but were unsure where to even begin?

...decided that regardless of the shift required, you needed to take massive guided action because your heart and soul were asking to be heard, asking for you to step up in new ways, and asking you to let go of old patterns so you can feel freedom?

...does this sound like where you've been? Me too...

My pattern was that I would dim my inner light so others wouldn't feel uncomfortable. But in doing so, I lost who I was and distanced myself from what I'm here to do.

My year to date has been about looking at where I've been and re-evaluating where I am going. It's been about giving myself permission to be different and perhaps even make others uncomfortable along the way. It's been about re-envisioning how I want to show up in my life and coming back into alignment with my light.

To do this, I needed to take massive guided action. For me, this meant leaving a relationship with someone I thought I'd marry, and moving 1,200km across the country to be in a city that was surrounded by the ocean with wide expanses of rainforest, big old growth trees, long stretches of rocky beaches and lots of driftwood.

I needed the solitude to find myself again. To re-connect with parts of myself that I had never realized were there. Parts of myself that I needed to feel whole, and to claim my fullness as a woman on a spiritual journey, looking to change the world we know through every person she works with.

Every single one of us is unfolding in unique ways. Things happen in our lives that ask us to pause and reflect inwardly on what is working and what isn't working in our lives.

I'd like to begin our conversation by holding space for you to reflect on your life, and to journey inward this fall. To invite you to use the dance between the earth and the moon to take your journey into greater authenticity to the next level.

🌝 September's Full Moon & Fall Equinox 🌜

Have you ever noticed that in September, life is throwing lots of new things your way?

To me, this feels counter-intuitive. Fall is a time when my body wants to cozy up with a cup of tea and turn inward. It's always been a time when I naturally turn off the outer world and start a process of deep reflection and re-evaluation.

If we were to imagine the whole year as one moon cycle, it's the time of the Waning Phase, and with the Fall Equinox coming up next week, we find ourselves in a powerful time of Waning Moon energies. It's time to take things slow, and carve out time for deep introspection and healing.

I'd like to invite you to press pause on the ever-present stream of outside voices. When we can't hear our body's innate wisdom, we begin to run into trouble. We get sick, grumpy, overwhelmed, stressed, anxious and depressed.

Use this year's Harvest Moon to reflect deeply on your life. The full moon has just past, but still has very active energies working in our lives. Create space to look at where you're spending your energy and whether this investment is resulting in barren fields or fruitful harvest. Take a moment, and reflect on your life.

Use the full moon momentum as we travel into the waning moon of the Equinox, to clean up your areas where you're spending energy rather than investing energy. See where you need to course correct to stay aligned with your most authentic self.
